School is out for the summer, but that doesn’t mean your email marketing campaigns should halt too! In fact, Summer is the time that you should begin planning your back to school campaigns. We’ve included a few tips below as well as a new back to school Scratch-it Template to make sure your campaign is an A+.
1. Target specific ages by including words like “preschool”, “college”, and “kids” in the subject line. Don’t forget to personalize! Studies have shown that emails with personalized subject lines have a much higher chance of being opened.
2. Make sure your email campaign is sent at the right time. While August is the key month for back-to-school campaigns, many students start preparing their supplies in July, and start picking out clothing/accessories in early September (once they have seen what others are wearing).
